Darren was born and raised in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and completed a bachelor’s degree in law alongside a second major in Psychology at the University of Waikato in 2024. He was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor in the Auckland High Court in 2024.

He has since started in Complete Legal at the beginning of 2026. For now, he is working as a supervised provider when it comes to legal aid services. His greatest strength is that he approaches every situation through a lens of compassion and empathy which motivates him to keep going. 

Darren is fluent in both English and Malay. Outside of work, he is a big nerd for music, anime/manga, and cooking to name a few. He is also a big fan of many disciplines of combat sports predominantly Muay Thai and MMA.
